Cómo correr una carrera de 5 km empezando de cero.

Nunca he sido una persona deportista a pesar de que me gusta mucho el deporte. Nunca he practicado ningún ejercicio físico habitualmente desde que salí del cole, de hecho, sólo pensar en correr detrás del autobús y me daba algo. Pero ya llevaba un tiempo con ganas de hacer algo, de sentirme mejor físicamente y de buscar un rato para mí en el que desconectar la cabeza.

Mucha gente aficionada al running, osea el correr de toda la vida, me decía que estaba fenomenal y a pesar de tener mis dudas y pensar que no me iba a enganchar me decidí a intentarlo. Uno de mis propósitos de año nuevo fue prepararme para una carrera y ser constante, algo que me cuesta mucho.

Los primeros días fueron muy duros, con ayuda de una aplicación del móvil, fui empezando a correr poco a poco, correr un minuto, andar dos, otro minuto corriendo… y así hasta que el cuerpo se va acostumbrando y cada día eres capaz de correr un poco más sin pararte.

Mi objetivo a corto plazo era correr una carrera de 5km y me apunté a la que organizaban la Mutua Madrileña ayer en Madrid. Tener una carrera en mente ayuda para tenerlo como objetivo a la hora de entrenar y sobre todo como motivación.

Y por fin llegó el día, allí estábamos dispuestos a llegar a la meta!

Mi objetivo era modesto, no me planteaba tiempos, sólo acabar la carrera y no tener que ponerme a andar demasiadas veces.

El ambientazo era increíble. Poco a poco fuimos saliendo y empezamos a correr.

La experiencia fue genial, hubo algún momento en el que las fuerzas escaseaban y tuve que ir andando rápido, pero fueron pocos. Mi ritmo no fue muy rápido pero logré acabar la carrera contenta, disfrutando y muy orgullosa de mi misma por haber cumplido este pequeño reto que me había propuesto.

Me ha costado engancharme al running, es algo en lo que hay que ser constante para ver los resultados, pero experiencias como ésta hacen que tenga ganas de correr más y más rápido y eso me produce alegría y una energía tremenda.

Tengo que agradecer a Silvia, mi compañera de entrenamiento y a mi marido, Román, que nos hizo de liebre marcándonos el ritmo y animándonos todo el rato.

Si alguna vez habéis pensado que os gustaría correr, de verdad os animo, poco a poco es posible, sólo hay que ser un poco constante.

      Pues yo me descargue una que se llama run5K y cada día te va poniendo un plan de entrenamiento ( empieza muy suave, correr 1 minuto, andar 2… y poco a poco según avanzas las sesiones, va aumentando los periodos de correr y disminuyen los de andar). Esta bastante bien y yo con esa me he ido apañando. Mucho ánimo, a mi me está costando cogerle el gusto pero la constancia es definitivamente la clave!!!
